This week my punch in the face goes out to the BCS Bowl System.  This huge failure of a system takes all of the joy out of the end of college football, instead of talking about who is the best team in the nation and letting them prove it on the field in a playoff we are relegated to talking about the 100’s of scenarios that could take place and place multiple teams in the Title game.  When is the NCAA going to realize they are the only major sport without a tournament.  The thing that upsets me is this is a total money game, bowls are afraid to lose it and the NCAA loves it.  Why does the NCAA think it is acceptable to be the only sport without a playoff, I don’t understand especially when NCAA 1-AA, Division 2 and Division 3 all have playoffs.  It all comes down to money and these kids shouldn’t have there national title hopes crushed because some big shots want to line there pockets with a little more cash.  These kids are already milked and used to make millions for there instituitions.  It is time to give them all a chane at the title.  Could you imagine an 8 team tournament starting in two weeks with West Virginia playing Hawaii, Missouri playing Georgia, LSU playing Ohio St.  this is what needs to happen.  College football is great but this would just be the icing on the cake.  So BCS you have been punched.
