There are just three days to go and I know the clock is winding down. Arod and Jeter are competing for votes to play in the mlb all star game, so it is sort of like a grudge match between the two of them, even though they are teammates. The AL’s top two vote-getters are, ridiculous amount of a total of 10,533 votes. That is amazing stats. They are trying to be the leagues number 1. In exactly ONE single week, a number of total 578,000 votes has recently brought Alex Rodriguez’s total to 2,518,067, which is leading right infront of Derek Jeter with 2,507,534 total votes. Behind them in voting is the leagues number 1 outfielder, Red Sox Manny Ramirez. In catchers, It’s going to be a battle as well. Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer still holds a steady lead of 145,000 votes over Jason Varitek, catcher of the Red Sox. The first time since weekly updates began on May 27, there has been not ONE single change in the top 5 leaderboard. This hasn’t really happened very often as well. This years all-star game is going to be really competitive and exciting for all baseball fans.
